With a lifetime of commitment to Kathak dance, her teaching skill has produced many excellent dancers and her artistic vision a number of dance creations. An imaginative exploration of the Kathak form for choreography has taken the Kathak dance beyond a specific style into a universe of artistic value. A minimal approach to costuming, lighting and set designing has given her work a sophisticated elegance.

ATUL DESAI
CO-FOUNDER
Atul Desai was a well-known vocalist by profession whose training was in classical Hindustani music. He also trained in Electronic music. He has very successfully combined both the disciplines in creating exquisite and melodious music enhancing the value of the Kadamb productions.

Parul Thakore joined Kadamb in 1971 as a student and as a member of the performing group she has traveled extensively in India and abroad. Now she is the administrator of Kadamb Centre for Dance

Nandini Mehta is a B.Sc of the Gujarat University and also did an M.A in Home Science. Nandini has been with Kadamb for over 20 years, initially as a student and now as a teacher and member of the performing group.

Nilima Thakrar studied Kathak at Kadamb under the guidance of Kumudini Lakhia. She has passed the ‘Alankar‘ examination of the Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya. Nilima teaches Kathak at Kadamb and has been a member of the performing group.

Rupanshi Kashyap Initially a student at Kadamb and now a member of the Kadamb Performing Unit. She is a post graduate in Kathak dance from the JG College of Performing Arts, Ahmedabad. She has been awarded ‘Kal Ke Kalakar‘ by the Gujarat State Sangeet Natak Akademi. Now she is a teacher at Kadamb.

Mansi Modi has been associated with kadamb from the past 15 years. She has been working as a teacher since last 2 years for Kadamb. She has been traveling & performing professionally with Kadamb Unit nationally and internationally for the past 4 years. Mansi holds a masters degree in Kathak (MPA) from GUJARAT UNIVERSITY.

Arun Kumar Oza has been with Kadamb for more than 20 years. He accompanies in classes on Tabla and also plays for choreographic compositions. Arun is also well versed in the Hindi language.

Joby Joy is an excellent Tabla player accompanying Kathak dance. He has been with Kadamb for more than 18 years. A native of Kerala, he has made Ahmedabad and its culture his home

Tejas Trivedi has joined Kadamb for last 3 years as a Tabla player. Accompanies junior classes on Tabla.

Rohit Parihar was initiated into Kathak dance at an early age by his Father and Guru Sampat Kumar Parihar and was later guided by Guru Pandit. Rajendra Kr. Gangani. Rohit has completed his Post Diploma in Kathak from Kathak Kendra. Rohit is working as a Lecturer in JG College of Performing Arts in Ahmedabad and internationally he has performed in different countries worldwide
